On November 1, 2020, Mr. Provencio was named Senior Vice President-Legal for the newly formed BellRock Brands, Inc., a Canadian publicly traded marijuana consumer packaged goods multistate operator resulting from the merger of Colorado-based cannabis superbrands,

Mary’s Brands (Mary’s Medicinals, Mary’s Nutritionals, Mary’s Tails) and Dixie Brands (Dixie Elixirs, Aceso, Therabis). In his capacity as SVP Legal, 

Mr. Provencio manages all business and operational facing legal matters for the Company.

Prior to his role with BellRock Brands, Mr. Provencio served as General Counsel for Mary’s Brands since April of 2016. As General Counsel, Mr. Provencio oversaw all legal and compliance matters related to its stable of brands as well as handling all internal legal operations for parent entity, MM Technology Holdings, LLC, and its affiliated companies.

He is a frequent speaker on cannabis and hemp-related matters across the country and serves as a member of NCIA’s Policy Council as well as a member of the Cannabis Advisory Board for Business Insurance Media.

Prior to Mary’s, Mr. Provencio was in private practice, representing federally recognized Indian tribes and other tribal entities on economic development initiatives, internal governance, and tribal sovereignty issues. Mr. Provencio specialized in natural resources and Indian reserved water rights and served as an expert and speaker on Indian water law issues.
