BIO

Allison is an attorney born and raised in the DC suburbs. She has a J.D. from Temple Law School and a B.A. in English Literature with minors in Legal Studies and Philosophy from the University of Rochester. Allison has experience advising churches on incorporation, operation, and legal compliance in the spiritual use of plant medicines and in the legal areas of employment, business, tax, and intellectual property. Prior to joining PMLG, Allison worked as Principal Attorney for Hoots Law Practice PLLC, Counsel at Keightley Ashner LLP, investigator for the U.S. Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration, Associate at Fox Rothschild LLP, an entertainment law Associate at Wagman Hurwitz Dickman, and investigator at the New York State Division of Human Rights and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission. Allison has synthesized these diverse experiences into a strong foundation of knowledge of law that she shares with her clients to give whole picture advice on transactional matters and potential liability issues, and she highly values her government experience at both the state and federal levels, as it has given her valuable insights into the practices and priorities of agency investigations. She has spent a significant part of her recent legal career focusing on advising clients using plant medicine to establish best practices and advocating for safe and legal uses. Allison is a member of Chacruna’s Council for the Protection of Sacred Plants and sits on the advisory board of the Alliance for a Viable Future. She is a founding Director and officer as Secretary to the Board of a church that uses plant medicine in prayer.
