Prior to opening LoCascio-King Law in 2011, Caitlin was an associate attorney at a mid-size law firm, did contract work for Maine and New Hampshire law firms and was the law clerk at Unum. She earned her J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law and was awarded the Pro Bono Publico Award. While at Maine Law, she was a student attorney at both Legal Services for the Elderly and United States Attorney’s Office and a research assistant on articles published in the American Bankruptcy Review and Loyola Law Journal. Caitlin is admitted to practice in both the Maine State courts as well as the United States District Court for the District of Maine, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey, the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. She currently serves as Chair of the Small & Solo Practice Section of the Maine State Bar Association and has presidential appointments to the Women Rainmakers Board, Attorney Well-Being Committee and the Standing Committee on Continuing Legal Education for the American Bar Association. Caitlin has been an Honoree of the Katahdin Counsel Recognition Program each year since its inception and was named a Rising Star by Superlawyers each year from 2015-2024. She is also a regular faculty member on continuing legal education courses on the topics of elder law, estate planning and attorney wellness.
