Carla is a Projects and Construction lawyer advising public and private sector clients on complex commercial contracts across a range of sectors, including defence and student accommodation. Carla also advises clients on a range of ESG matters (particularly in relation to sustainable construction and considerations around achieving net zero) and is a core member of Mills & Reeve's ESG Legal Services team. Carla is also the daughter of Professor Paul Watchman, who is widely regarded as one of the leading lawyers in ESG, human rights and sustainable finance. Paul was also a mentor to many young lawyers throughout their law careers and ESG journeys and the Paul Watchman Young Lawyer Award was established to continue this legacy.
