As an American-trained attorney living in Paris for over 20 years, Christopher Mesnooh has represented a large array of US companies investing in Europe, in particular with respect to corporate law and tech issues. Many of these companies are world-class leaders in their areas (social media, online gaming, video content, hardware and software developers and suppliers), with a majority of these companies being based in Northern California. Cross-border mergers & acquisitions is a particular speciality, with his knowledge of both the US and the French/European legal systems being a distinguishing feature of my practice. Chris has represented numerous American groups in areas as diverse as technology companies, medical and pharmaceutical groups, heavy industry, natural resources and mining, and consumer goods, in their acquisitions across the EU. From preparing initial offers to conducting exhaustive due diligence, from negotiating in English and French to preparing the mass of documentation required, and from closing the deal to managing all post-acquisition integration issues, there is no part of cross-border acquisition work that he has not successfully completed on behalf of his clients On the technology side of his practice, Chris has developed a sophisticated practice in data protection, e-commerce, internet regulation and media issues (freedom of expression and regulatory issues) in the EU. His transnational legal practice is characterized by a unique ability to render French and European legal advice accessible and practical to foreign companies, irrespective of their economic sectors or their provenance, as they choose to enter or expand into (or withdraw from) European markets. Chris is also increasingly being called upon to advise French groups seeking to expand outside of their home market, to the US, Asia and Latin America in particular.
