Heart of the City

Katie is Programme Manager at Heart of the City and manages and delivers Heart of the City's net zero and climate action programmes. She works closely with small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) to measure their carbon footprint and create climate-science aligned net zero action plans. Heart of the City is a charity that enables SMEs to create a positive impact in their communities and on the environment, whilst strengthening their businesses operations. The charity was established in 2000 by the City of London Corporation, the Bank of England and the then Financial Services Authority. Through delivering workshops, webinars and expert mentorship, we empower SMEs to embed social and environmental impact into their operations. We have supported over 3,000 businesses make a positive impact by better supporting their people, places and the planet. Before working at Heart of the City, Katie completed a Postgraduate Degree in Global Environment Politics and Society at the University of Edinburgh, which covered key aspects of environmental politics and climate change justice and responsibility.
